The Self-Defense & Personal Safety Program is a structured, age-appropriate curriculum designed to equip students with practical safety awareness, confidence-building skills, and foundational self-defense techniques. This program emphasizes prevention, situational awareness, conflict de-escalation, emotional regulation, and physical self-protection skills in a safe, supervised, and supportive learning environment.
The curriculum aligns with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) standards and supports students’ physical education, personal development, and character education goals.

By the end of the program, students will be able to:
• Demonstrate situational awareness and identify potential safety risks.
• Apply verbal boundary-setting and de-escalation techniques.
• Understand bullying prevention and safe response strategies.
• Use age-appropriate physical self-defense techniques safely and responsibly.
• Exhibit improved confidence, discipline, and emotional regulation.
• Understand the importance of respect, consent, and personal boundaries.

Focus on awareness, anti-bullying skills, listening skills, basic escape techniques, and confidence-building games.Middle School (6–8):
Expanded de-escalation skills, peer conflict management, structured physical techniques, and real-world safety scenarios.High School (9–12):
Advanced situational awareness, realistic scenario training, boundary enforcement, and practical personal safety strategies for community settings. -
